I grew up and lived on the west coast of Canada until I was in my early 20s. Since then I have been privileged to live in many places amongst people of different cultures, religions and perspectives. At the same time, I have understood that all give great importance to children and being good parents. I have lived in 14 countries and have visited more than a hundred. My career in humanitarian / social development of children started in Sudan. I have two daughters, both of whom grew up in the Middle East and are Academics -- one in Canada at University of British Columbia and one at LAU in Lebanon where I am currently living. My previous role with the Plan Academy showed me that learning is a process and that supporting learners by being an effective facilitator is very important and rewarding. I am sure that by sharing your ideas and experience during the workshop, you will help the other participants and they will help you. Have a rich learning experience!!!
